BEAT MY FIVE: ITS MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES

Salamat! That’s all I can say, sa mga reviews na nakukuha ko sa mga manunulat, from views hanggang sa mga comments, I am very thankful. Oh yeah, you can also follow me not just here but also on my Facebook and Tweeter account. Although I would like to announce na baka medyo ma delay ang mga entries ko, from almost everyday, to one per week. For the reason that I am currently attending training (work related stuff) right now. (may buhay din naman ako) hehehe.

Well, I don’t want to put any introduction on this entry, just enlighten me nalang, kayo nang bahala.

BEAT MY FIVE: Its More Fun In The Philippines

1. PASKO NG PINOY – Now, please pause for a while and try to analyze my thoughts, as I explain why Christmas is unique here in the Philippines, and why this is the first item on my list.  Huwag nyo sanang ma misinterpret this entry. And to think na wala akong paggalang sa Paskong Pinoy. Actually, for me the Christmas here is so special, na ito lang ata ang panahon na ang mga magkakaaway, family members man o magkakaibigan nag kakabati.

– 24th of the month mag sisimba ka (pang 9th) then kakain kayong magkakasama

Then just 24 hours after being a part of a catholic tradition, that you diligently followed for almost two weeks. DIBA PANG CHINESE TO????? Asan na ung pagiging Catholic? Asan na ung pagiging PINOY?

Yes they are a part of our history and we somehow inherit the tradition and some celebration. CHINESE NEW YEAR IS NOT EVEN CELEBRATED EVERY DECEMBER! If you do a tradition/ritual on a different/incorrect day, diba hindi rin gagana un?? If you were god and you saw your people just do a 360 degree turn and follow tradition that is not by your teachings, RIGHT AFTER YOUR BIRTHDAY, isn’t that a bit hurtful?

Hey I’m just asking, if you have an answer please let me know. But if you don’t understand and can’t comprehend it. Basahin mo nalang ito.

AKECH: Mudra, pasko narin ba sa china?

MUDRA: Hindi pa junakis

AKECH: Whysung natin to ginagawa.

Aguinaldo..

AKECH: oke =D

2. Hell and Heaven

PLEASE, explain to me why we have this kind of street game that sounds like “bloody mary” or a chant you do while playing the Wigi Board. Lets analyze… Bakit inuulit ulit pa yung impyerno??heheh Parang mas binibigyan pa ng diin ung impyerno eh hehe. Nakaktakot kapag seryoso mong kinanta. Pero paano ba ito nauso, AT SINONG WALANG UTAK ANG NAGPAUSO NITO. Katakot kaya,, hehe.

3. NOV 1 – Eto matagal narin itong tanong ng mga batang walang alam na katulad ko.=D But until now the only reason I got is because its a long time tradition, and plenty of years ago Nov 2 is never really considered by the government as a holiday. If you still don’t know what I am talking about, its our Halloween celebration. Here in the Philippines, people are well informed and its even written on each and every calendar we have that, we celebrate “all souls day” (NOV 1)  during “all saints day” (NOV 2) ng parang di tayo marunong magbasa. Di ba parang magulo? Just like what I said on my first item, If you do a tradition/ritual on a different/incorrect day, diba hindi rin gagana un?? Saka WAIT, how about the saints? How are going to celebrate them? Do we need to at least pray for our saints? E bakit parang walang gumagawa? Anyway that is another topic. But I think you got my point. =D

4. Dura – We are big on “pamahiin” or fictitious believes, and more times than not, most Filipinos base it as a form of luck that can predict one’s future.

5. INTERIOR DESIGN – Now for sure someone can help me on this item.

We?

ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES!

  1. Simbang Gabi in the Philippines is more on rituals and supertitious belief that once you completed the 9 days, “god” will granted your prayers.
