Beat my Five: Not For Us

Hello!!! sobrang tagal na grabe,, since I last posted an entry here. Well, one is because of work, two is I got a few PC games I am trying out, and third, And if you are one of my friends in FB at hindi mo padin alam My Visa for Canada just got approved! And I am already on my 2nd month here!! YEEEY!

For this entry, I am sure kung pinoy ka makaka relate ka. At by now you already understand that we are not a lot of things. Katulad ng ibang 3rd world nations we can only do certain things and we are only popular sa iilang mga bagay. Pero these 5 items are the things that I think.., and in my opinion are some things we cant really do or at least kaylangan pa ng mga decades.., as in DECADES pa bago natin ma figure out kung paano o ma posses ang mga ito.

BEAT MY FIVE: NOT FOR US (or at least not now)

  1. SCI FI / 3D Animations -MOVIES = I am sure if you have a pair of working eyes, alam nyo naman na hindi na nakalapet at katulad na ng “visual kind of movies” sa Pilipinas eh parang nag give up na nga tayo na pag butihin to eh. NOW, I understand na wala kasi tayong technology and sila ang nag pa uso nun kaya ang resources ay na sa kanilang lahat. I probably would accept this excuse kung nasa early 90s o late 80s pa tayo. I think it will take more than a decade para at least mag karoon ng katangap tangap na pelikula na ganito. Pero with all of the new ideas and movies that other country are showing us, paano pa tayo makakasabay. That goes to show, na tama lang ito ang maging isa sa lima kong line item. Naisipan kong isulat ito pagkatapos ko panoorin sa sinehan ang Man of steel. Pero ever since bata pa ako, I knew na that this is not for us, at least after a few more decades pa bago makasabay. Pero I just want to say kahit alam kong super late na. Na graphics and animation wise, Man of steel (My not so favorite character) gave IRON MAN (which I’m a FAN! by the way..) a run for their money. Parang nahiya pa yung Iron Man ng konti sa pinakita nila nitong Man of Steel movie eh. Which makes me think about our capabilities of doing these kinds of movies. And come to think of it, yung Iron Man for this year katulad ng Man of Steel, ay hindi naman ganoon ka ganda ang storya (kinuwento lang yung mga bagay na alam na rin natin), puro visual effects lang. To tell you honestly, I think I would be a man on his golden years bago ko pa makita tong mangyare sa pelikula natin.
  2. SPORTS – Maraming factors na I am sure alam nyo na yung pinaka mga obvious katulad ng lack of support and having a much smaller physic.., that puts us in a major disadvantage, every time. TABLE TENNIS??? But we never really took it to the those fellas’  who started it. UNLIKE DANCING OR SINGING (we have our own representatives na and we already proved to the world what we can do) We can’t seem to figure out how to improve on it.  I can go on and on about sa mga sports na hindi kaylangan ng height or muscles to be successful. Pero ang mga katulad na sports na Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming, Taekwondo etc. seals the deal na either we cant or matatagalan pa bago natin ma prove that we can be champions in these sports.Although I am very happy na somehow nagrerecruit na rin tayo ng mga “half-half” athletes. BAKIT DI BA NATIN YUN NAISIP NUNG 1990’s pa eh di sana mas nabuksan pa yung mga doors of opportunities sa mga maliliit at purong pinoy ng mas maaga.  I feel sorry for the team’s management and mga staff kasi they being ridiculed dahil hindi nga purong pinoy or hindi daw talaga maituturing na pinoy ang mga hina-hire natin. Which I think is just one of the normal reaction lalo na sa mga taong meron tayo dito. For me kahit wala ka pang kahit kakaunting porsyentong Filipino, if you want to represent us, fight for us, wholeheartedly adore and be one of us, then your part of the team, and of this country. Come to think about it, wala rin namang purong pinoy, either may Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, etc.. DATED hehe)Para sa akin there are only 3 sports na we are good at, BOXING, BILLIARDS and BOWLING. That is it, yung iba pinapangarap pa natin.

  3. HOSTAGE CRISIS MANAGEMENT – Kapag napupunta na ang mga mukha natin sa mga international news network like CNN, Bloomberg etc. at hindi sa magandang bagay, kundi sa kapalpakan time and again, then I think there is a real message that we are ignoring. You’ll see that we are consistent on the list of hostage crisis during the past years. And I understand that there are a lot worse hostage crisis management from around the world that happened na meron pa nga lasted from 5 to 60 days. And ended in the most brutal ending with hostages totally abused and or dead. Pero if you look at our lists of hostage crisis, each and every one of them, are really terrible. I’m actually talking about how we handle it, not the crisis itself. From a media man, na nagpapangap na mediator, and acting like they are the savior of all pinoy kind. To untrained, unequipped, clueless police officer. Also every time there are scenarios like these, local officials are more likely to take the backseat and just watch media personalities to the job for them. Then pagkatapos sisihan na. Just like any other part of our country it will take time, and a lot of thinking para mabago pa ito.HOW ABOUT SETTING A PERIMETER SO MEDIA CANT GET INTO THE MIX? HOW ABOUT KUMILOS NA BAGO MAKA DALAWANG SAKSAK SA BATA? HOW ABOUT HINDI I TELEVISE KUNG NASAAN YUNG MGA SNIPERS?- LALO NA KUNG MAY TV YUNG HOSTAGE TAKER? HOW ABOUT WAG MUNA KUMAIN SA CHINESE RESTAURANT HABANG MAY NAGAGANAP NA HOSTAGE CRISIS?Yan at marami pang tanong ang I think kelan man hindi na masasagot, kahit ngayoy nasa infomation age na nga tayo. If you’re Asian and you got stuck in a hostage crisis in this country. I won’t blame you, if in the end, you’d have a much better idea na sana nagawa namin para hindi maging ganun ang result ng hostage crisis. Trust me they know/have those ideas too, pero they are just focus on how would they will look instead of actually solving the crisis. And if you’d survive one (dito sa Pinas), thank god.
  4. ELEKSYON – Gaano mang oras ang ilaan natin sa pagsasaayos ng local o national eleksyon dito sa Pinas, wala pading kaayusan at least sa point na we can consider na naging maayos ang takbo. It doesn’t matter what year we are talking about and how much outside technology foreign neighbors contributed to it. Mapa probinsya man o here in the city wala paring pakelamanan. Kaya siguro nanalo. Kaya siguro ang tag line nya Walang mahirap, kasi lahat may 500 hehe. Anyway isa lang sya sa maraming kandidato na ginawa ito, nito lamang nakaraang eleksyon (not the barangay election).I don’t think this will ever change, or at least not in the near future. Its in our natiure to be in power dahil lagi tayong nasa ilalim, at syempre dahil lagi din tayong walang pera, isa rin itong dahilan kung bakit natin tinatangkilik to o kaya tayo tumatakbo.
  5. ROAD REGULATIONS  –  What I’ve learned sa mga nakaraang taon, is sa ibang bansa mas pinapahalagahan nila ang mga bagay na ito. And for most of our neighbor countries, ang application ng license can take up to a year (or more) bago lumabas o mag ka result. Then after a month may Non Pro ka na kaagad. Lalo na kung mandaya kapa like most of us do. Which results sa less intelligent drivers and passengers on the road.

Pero I am enjoying my life here at thankful ako kay God na hinayaan akong makapasok dito amongst thousands of others na gustong pumunta dito. HINDI NAKO BABALIK!! heheh.. See you on my next post guys.. hopefully sa susunod na linggo. BET??
